SAGE JAUREQUI, LMFT
I’m here to guide you toward building a deeper, more meaningful connection with your partner. As an emotionally focused couples therapist, my goal is to enhance relationships and reshape attachment bonds through the transformative power of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This evidence-based approach helps couples engage in meaningful conversations that foster connection and understanding.
I also support individuals facing relationship anxiety or trauma, helping them navigate their experiences and find healing. I have advanced training in EFT for couples, individuals, and families, I am well-equipped to facilitate your journey toward emotional intimacy. Additionally, I have completed The Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1-3) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Before becoming a licensed therapist, I gained valuable experience in public behavioral health, where I served in various capacities, including volunteer roles, case management, and training. I have a strong commitment to supporting the LGBTQ community. I also bring 15 years of corporate training experience to my practice.
About Me:
Personal
I’m a native Arizonan who has spent most of my life in the Phoenix metro area, with a passport full of memories from across the country and the world. I’ve lived in vibrant cities including Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, and Dallas, and I’ve traveled to more than 40 countries. Those experiences sparked my passion for culture and diversity.
I began my professional journey in aviation as a flight attendant at 20, a path that shaped my worldview and deepened my appreciation for human connection. Today, I work as an experiential therapist, guided by the belief that our lived experiences shape harmony—between ourselves, others, and the world around us. I’m inspired by the saying, “To hear is to forget, to see is to remember, and to experience is to understand.”
I’m in a long-term relationship (18 years) and celebrate 13 years of marriage. I’m a lifelong student and a dedicated yogi. In my spare time, you’ll find me hiking, capturing moments through photography, and continuing my journey of personal development—psychological, spiritual, and beyond.
