SAGE JAUREQUI, LMFT

I’m here to guide you toward building a deeper, more meaningful connection with your partner. As an emotionally focused couples therapist, my goal is to enhance relationships and reshape attachment bonds through the transformative power of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). This evidence-based approach helps couples engage in meaningful conversations that foster connection and understanding.

I also support individuals facing relationship anxiety or trauma, helping them navigate their experiences and find healing. I have advanced training in EFT for couples, individuals, and families, I am well-equipped to facilitate your journey toward emotional intimacy. Additionally, I have completed The Gottman Method Couples Therapy (Level 1-3) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Before becoming a licensed therapist, I gained valuable experience in public behavioral health, where I served in various capacities, including volunteer roles, case management, and training. I have a strong commitment to supporting the LGBTQ community. I also bring 15 years of corporate training experience to my practice.

About Me:

Personal

I have been in a fulfilling long-term relationship for 16 years and have lived in various vibrant cities across the country, including Los Angeles, San Diego, Chicago, and Dallas, Texas; I currently reside in Central Phoenix.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my spouse and our dogs. I do yoga, hiking, and reading. My passion for attachment-based therapy is complemented by a deep exploration of spirituality. This journey of self-awareness ultimately inspired me to pursue a career as a therapist.

I began my professional journey at 18 in the airline industry, and over the course of 25 years, I traveled to more than 40 countries. This experience fueled my passion for culture and diversity, providing me with invaluable education. As the saying goes, “To hear is to forget, to see is to remember, and to experience is to understand.” This philosophy aligns perfectly with my belief in experiential therapy.
